Yet another sign that wisdom does not necessarily come with age.

I'm sorry you're feeling bad. I hope the treatment helps.

Well it seems Mother may not forget our exchange in the doctor's clinic quite so quickly, as she brought it up with Hubby when he went around to see her this afternoon. By sounds of it she may bring it up with me yet again, it seems I don't know all of the FACTS.

I wish Hubby had explained to her why I disagreed with her so strongly yesterday in the doctor's clinic. Arggghhhhhh.

She once said, "Alcohol is the biggest curse of the world." I politely disagreed with her and said, "I think it is religious dogma." which she incorrectly interpreted me as saying, "The biggest curse in the world is Christianity."

To be honest I was convinced our conversation was heading in that direction yesterday, only I tactfully diverted the subject away from that area.

Thanks for the well wishes Paxton.

Oh I hope I remember these embarrassing moments so that I don't inflict some embarrassment on those who look after me when I get old.
Hi Chezza. I know an old bloke who only hears what he wants to. He is still rabbiting on about Kevin 07 even though his predictions have proved wrong.

Best of luck with your health. All I can offer is best wishes.
Hey Chezza,

I am sorry to hear your treatment is being a pain, I hope it doesn't last long at all.

As for your posts..I love them so please let good health (well almost) return as soon as possible.

As for the trip to the doctors...WOW..I don't know if I could of sat through that, I hope she remembers the conversation for your sake.

Get well soon, I am sending you all my good thoughts to help speed it along a little

*looks around* Chezz? where are you? Hulllloooooooooooooo!! *peeks behind the words on the wall* Hey! what'cha doin' there?

Seriously-- I'm sorry things are in a bad place right now with the therapy......((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I wish it would all get better RIGHT NOW.
That picture is incredibly wonderful/! I'm trying to figure out the process they went to, to do it. Wow.
Your Mother-in-law -- *sigh* {{{{{{{{{{{gentlehugs}}}}}}}}}}}

Well, I'd say let hubby take her next time. -Easier on you that way, isn't it?

-I wouldn't blame you one bit.

I LOVE the picture there!

Take care, and get yourself feeling better, k?

[this is good]
Oh, cringe! Sounds very much like my late grandfather who was also deaf and SPOKE VERY LOUDLY! Hope you are feeling okay, Chezz.
"Oh I hope I remember these embarrassing moments so that I don't inflict some embarrassment on those who look after me when I get old."

It's okay, I've forgiven you for any embarrassment you caused me on the Amendment 28 discussion. Hehehehehe! Joking, of course. :-)

Mate, get well soon.
Hope you feel better soon, Chezza.

The trip to the GP with your mum-in-law sounds like a nightmare. Since your hubby found is so funny I guess he gets to go with her next time!
Wow finally back for a bit.

I am still getting my medications sorted out, but today was a better day.

Now as for the Mum in-law, well I believe she has been sorted out too. Hubby went and had a word with her the other day, and explained that it was fine to air her opinions in the privacy of a home, but it would be best if she didn't express them in public. So she was most sorry and hopes I will be prepared to take her out in public again. Yes I will be, as I will be taking her back to the doctors for her blood tests this week and I have to have blood tests too. Also then back for both hers and my doctor's appointment in two weeks time. I think she will behave this time.

Thanks heaps Peter.

One day at a time :-)
Gday Worker

I have had a couple of better days. I got to see Ben play footy yesterday, it was so good to get out.

I hope you are going well. I will catch up soon.

Bye for now.
Thanks Ninja.

It is nice to be missed.
Hi Rd

I am here some where. Yes I wish it would get better RIGHT now too, anyway the last two days have been a bit better.

So have you worked the picture out? It is very well done. He is completely painted to match the wall and then once he moves back against the wall he just seems to blend straight in. If you look closely you can see slight junctions of where he begins and where the wall begins. It would have taken forever to do the body art.

Thanks for the hugs, I think we have Mum in-law sorted out.

BIG HUGS to you too.

Thanks DK

It seems I will be taking Mother, as Hubby has discussed the 'situation' with her. See an earlier comment for full details.

Wish me luck on Thursday, that is the day of the blood tests.

Cheers.
I am happy to hear you have had a few good days, I have my fingers crossed that more will come you way soon.

I am glad you are getting time with your family that must lift your spirits :)

I look forward to speaking to you soon as well.

Stay safe and I will send all my good thoughts your way for some more of those good days

((((((Hugs)))))
Oh yeah 'SUPER CRINGE MATERIAL' I am glad we made it out of there in one piece!

I am feeling a bit better these past couple of days - Thanks :-)

It's okay, I've forgiven you for any embarrassment you caused me on the Amendment 28 discussion. Hehehehehe! Joking, of course. :-)

I am sure. Forgiven but NOT forgotten, that's how it goes isn't it? I know I will not forget that experience in a hurry.

Thanks cobber :-)

Oh you will be so pleased to know I just had to have a dig over in that general direction, some people need to learn some manners, and some people need to be supported when they express a legitimate and well thought out opinion and then get totally dumped on, no sorry I shall rephrase that and get 'death threats'.

Gday EWQ

Hubby was nice and discussed the situation with his Mum. She promises not to do it again - I am crossing my fingers for this Thursday.

Thanks for the well wishes.

I like you new hair style
Hey - I have missed you :-)

Yes it was good to get out yesterday. Hubby couldn't go, so Ben actually stayed overnight with his mate and went to the game with him, because it looked as if I wouldn't be able to get there and Ben got a shock to see me there. Hubby didn't want me to go because he was worried it would make me worse again, but I had been stuck home for two weeks except for appts and I HAD to get out!

If I am not too bad I shall try and catch up tomorrow.

Hugs,
Chezza
I missed you too !!

I am glad you got to go and I am sure Ben loved it :)
Rest, take it easy and when your feeling good we will catch up :)
Thanks for the picture explanation -- soemwhere in my silly brain I was thinking maybe he was bursting through very clingy materail-- haha -- It's even cooler now that I know how much efffort went into it!

OK, here are some other hugs, more powerful ones:
